If you are interested in engaging with industry, to translate your research into societal and economic impact, to commercialise your research or to try out your luck becoming an entrepreneur, now is the perfect time as there are supportive initiatives from Innovation ANU as well as CECS internal schemes.
For example, DVC (Research) is looking for 4 to 8 researchers or research groups from CECS who ‘have most potential for industry-sponsored research which may be either because they have established relationships that have yet to bear full yield, or because the nature of their research and skill sets might lend them towards such collaborations, or because they have narrowly missed out in a recent application for funding’. The Strategic Projects and Partnerships (SPP) team from Innovation ANU will give focussed support to these individuals/groups. In addition, there are a plethora of new initiatives originating from the office of the PVC Innovation.
There are also two CECS specific initiatives: Industry engagement fund and Budding Entrepreneurs Scheme.
I invite interested staff or staff already active in this space to come along to an informal discussion and sharing good practice session at 11.00 am on Tuesday 19 September in the CSIT Tea Room.
If you can’t make this time but would like to be involved or get assistance please e-mail Thushara/Erinn/Ewa.
