The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) welcomed a delegation led by Professor Robert Li from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on Monday 8 July 2019.
Established in 1996, CityU is growing rapidly as an international university that lays emphasis on diversity, intercultural learning and a global vision. CityU ranked 55th in the world according to the 2019 QS rankings.
The objective of the meeting was aimed at Joint PhD collaboration discussion between CECS and CityU.
The CityU delegation consists of:
- Professor Robert Li, Associate Dean, Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies
- Ms Joanne Yam, Director, Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies
- Professor Richard Yuen, Head, Department of Architectural and Civil Engineering
From CECS, the meeting was attended by Professor Tony Hosking, Interim Director, RSCS, Professor Ian Petersen, Interim Director, RSEEME, Dr Qing Wang, Associate Director (Education Partnerships), RSCS, Ms Audrey Teo, Acting Manager, International Student Recruitment and Partnerships and Ms Winnie Liu, International Student Recruitment and Partnerships Coordinator, ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science.
A visit of CECS unique in-house 45 kWe indoor high-flux solar simulator was hosted by Professor Wojciech Lipinski, Head of ANU Solar Thermal Group and Dr Mahesh Venkataraman, Research Fellow, RSEEME.
