I am a research scientist at Data61/CSIRO, and an adjunct honorary lecturer at the ANU School of Research and Computer Science. 

Prior to being employed at Data61, I was a post-doc at Max Planck Institute for Informatics. In 2013, I completed my PhD in Computer Science under the supervision of Gerhard Weikum and Rainer Gemulla from Max Planck Institute for Informatics and Saarland University.  In 2008, I received the Diploma degree from the Computer Science Department at Technical University of Kaiserslautern.  Prior to that, I studied for two years at Beijing Institute of Technology.



Deep learning and its applications, such as natural language understanding (NLU), language and vision, and music processing.
