Mr Mengbin (Ben) Ye

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Auckland from 2010-2013, obtaining a Bachelor's of Engineering with First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering. In 2014, I joined the ANU as a PhD student under the supervision of Associate Professor Brad Yu and Emeritus Professor Brian Anderson. As part of the Networked Systems team in the Systems and Control group, I am conducting research broadly in the area of multi-agent systems. I have presented papers at the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control in 2013 (Florence, Italy) and 2015 (Osaka, Japan). I have also presented seminars to Defence Science and Technology Group scientists and at Zhejiang University, Kyoto University and at the University of California, Riverside. I have been a visiting PhD student at Zhejiang University (2015), Osaka City University (2015) and University of California, Riverside (2016).

    • Modelling and analysis of social phenomena
  • Consensus and synchronisation
    • Model-independent coordination of Euler-Lagrange agents
    • Event-based multi-agent coordination
  • Localisation of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) using bearing-only measurements and in GPS-denied environments (Australian Defence project)
