Description
Buildings are among the largest consumers of energy, topping 40% of total energy usage in many countries. A significant portion of energy use in buildings is attributed to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), which accounts for up to 50% of the total energy consumption in buildings.
In this project, we design and develop intelligent building management system for the next-generation smart buildings, which can sense occupants' preferences and status in a privacy-preseriving manner and subsequently optimize building usage energy-efficiently. We will utilize Internet-of-Things systems, such as wireless sensors, mobile devices, and smart appliances.
