Human-Swarm Interaction in Games/VR

Description

A swarm is a large collection of simple entities, in which the collective displays complex behaviours that do not exist at the level of the individuals. When a human interacts with a swarm, they assume a supervisory or tactical role, influencing the behaviour of the swarm. This project will involve developing a swarm simulation in VR (or a game environment) and exploring different models of human-swarm interaction in simple scenarios. Human-swarm interaction could take a variety of forms, such as issuing standard or voice commands, or monitoring of human physiological signals (e.g., heart rate, facial expression, EEG) and responding accordingly.

 

This project involves investigating a specific approach related to human-swarm interaction in games/VR. If you would like to participate in this project, please send me a 1-2 paragraph proposal for your specific approach.
