Procedural content generation (PCG) is the algorithmic generation of data, as opposed to manual creation and input. PCG methods and tools that are easy to use, consistent, and reliable are a powerful way for game developers to create games that are replayable and enjoyable. There are many different methods and approaches that have been used for PCG in games.
